TRUTH & TACTICS FOR GOSPEL RECEPTION:

TACTIC: STRIVE FOR Enviable Community

v. 11 Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery?” (niv)   

v. 15 … if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?”(csb)

vv. 13–14 “… I make much of my ministry in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them.” (niv)

TRUTH: OUR ACCEPTANCE ISN’T Natural 

TACTIC: STRIVE FOR Awestruck Humility

vv. 16–17 … if the root is holy, so are the branches … you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree …” (esv)
