vv. 2-3 “… he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead …” (esv)

Isaiah 9.7 “He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever.” (csb)
