By making an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) using the secure online giving page to enter your information. It is safe, secure, and easier than writing a check. You can set up an automatic EFT on a one-time, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.

You can also now Give via Text. It’s super easy and convenient. Just text one of our special keywords to (270) 560-0709 and follow the prompts. You’ll only have to enter your credit or debit card information the initial time you use this giving option. After that, it’s as easy peasy to give regularly and/or for special occasions.

The special keywords we currently have set up are:
GIVE This keyword is used for general tithing.
ANNIE This keyword is used to give to our special offering to support the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
IRAN This keyword is used for giving to help support Iranian refugees who partner with our IMB missionaries in Central Asia.

Yes you can! We have provided this feature as a convenience, but we strongly encourage you to follow biblical money management principles. For the sake of good stewardship, we do not want individuals to incur debt in order to make a contribution. Also, credit card contributions have a higher cost to the church, so if possible, EFT is the preferred means for online giving.

Proverbs 3:9, “Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops…”

Jesus taught that our money is an indicator of our hearts and Paul taught that if we are loved by God and love Him in return we would give cheerfully, sacrificially, and regularly.

We believe that the minimum Biblical standard for giving is 10%, commonly called a “tithe.”

Here are a few reasons why every believer should tithe:

1. Tithing reminds me that EVERYTHING was given to me by God. “…remember that the Lord your God gives you the strength to make a living.” Deuteronomy 8:18 CEV
2. Tithing demonstrates God has FIRST PLACE in my life. “The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives.” Deuteronomy 14:23b TLB
3. Because Jesus COMMANDS it. “Yes, you should tithe, but you shouldn’t leave the more important things undone.” Matthew 23:23b TLB
4. Giving is an EXPRESSION of my love for God. “Now I want you to be leaders also in the spirit of cheerful giving…This is one way to prove that your love is real, that it goes beyond mere words.” 2 Corinthians 8:7b-8 TLB

Henderson’s First Baptist Church prepares and adopts an annual budget. This budget is carefully prepared with detailed planning spanning many months. The budget is an operating tool that guides our church in ministry, missions, and operations. It is important that every member and attendee understand their God-given role in supporting the financial needs of the church through systematic giving (tithing) to the church. Giving envelopes are mailed to each church family monthly and provided in the Worship Center.

It saves time! It saves work! It simplifies your life! You can avoid the hassle of writing and remembering checks! It can also help your consistency and faithfulness in giving.

On the dates specified on your authorization form. You never have to worry about forgetting a contribution or mailing it in on time.

Since your contribution is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date. You can view a record of your giving by accessing the giving tab in your TouchPoint profile.

Your bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transfers. It is your proof of contribution. The church will also record your gift and send you a record of your contributions on an annual basis for your tax records.

Online Giving is less risky than handwritten checks. It cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed in the mail. It has an extremely high rate of accuracy and is easier for the church accounting office to process.

You can update your profile and banking information for recurring giving at any time by clicking here.

It costs you nothing and saves you time. The fee to the church is nominal. However, if you would like to offset this expense, you can do so by increasing your gift by 1%.

Once you authorize the EFT transfer, your specified contribution is electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the church’s account. Options include a one-time, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or bi-monthly transaction.

You can cancel your authorization by notifying us any time. But once you’ve enjoyed the convenience, time, and money savings of Online Giving, we doubt you will want to go back to making contributions the way you did before.
