Romans: Faithful To Save – Part 4 of 10

Romans 1.16–17 … the gospel … is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes … in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last …” (niv)

v.1 … my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.” (esv)

v. 30 “… Gentiles … have obtained righteousness …” (csb)

GOD’S Gift NOT OUR Action      

v. 30 Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it …” (esv)                      

v. 31 … Israel … pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed …” (esv)

vv. 31–32 … Israel … did not succeed … Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works.” (esv)

v. 32 They have stumbled over the stumbling stone …” (esv)

v. 33 “… a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.” (esv)
