The Gift of a New Family
Isaiah 43:1-7
1. Hear the message to Judah
- ”You are Mine!” (v. 1)
- I created and formed you
- I redeemed you
- I called you by name
- You are Mine!
- I will discipline you for I am holy (2-4)
- The waters and fires will not kill you
- The waters and fires are sent by Me for your purification
- Do not fear, for I am with you (5a)
- Do not fear, for I will bring you back (5b-7)
- No matter where you are, I will bring you home
- No matter who you are, I have formed you for My glory
2. Hear the message to His child
- The Lord has said, “You are Mine!”
- Romans 8:15-16
- As your good Father, He will discipline you to His image.
- Hebrews 12:7, 10
- As your faithful Father, He will never leave you.
- Hebrews 13:5b-6
- As your sovereign Father, He will bring you home.
- Romans 8:17
- The Lord said to us – ALL of us! – we are His!
- The Lord has scattered us among the nations
- The Lord is with each one of His children and each one of His churches.
- The Lord will bring His whole family home!
