GOD INTENDS HIS WORD TO BE CLEAR ABOUT …

WHAT WE ARE Supposed To Be

v. 11 “This command that I give you today is certainly not too difficult or beyond your reach.” (csb)

Matthew 28.19–20 “… make disciples … teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (esv)

1 John 5.3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.” (esv)

v. 12 “It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it …’” (niv)

Deuteronomy 29.29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” (esv)

WHO WE ARE Supposed To Love

vv. 19–20 “… choose life, that you … may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days …” (esv)

1 Corinthians 2.13–14 “And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”

Matthew 13.11 “Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.” (csb)

WHAT WE ARE Going To Need

v. 14 “But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.” (esv)

v. 6 “… the Lord your God will circumcise your heart … so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.” (esv)
