Luke 19.10 “… the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (esv)
v. 2 “And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, ‘This man receives sinners and eats with them.’” (esv)
v. 10 “… there is joyin the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” (csb)
OUR COMMITMENTS FOR THE COMING YEAR:
WE EACH NEED God’s Heart For The Lost
vv. 4-5 “… [he goes] after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.” (esv)
WE ALL SHOULD BE God’s Home For The Found
v. 6 “… when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’” (esv)
v. 7 “… I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” (esv)
