DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONS FOR OUR FAITH:

ARE WE Believing God OR Blaming Others?

v. 16 “… they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.” (esv)

v. 10 “For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.” (esv)

UNCERTAINTY – v. 8 “… he went out, not knowing where he was going.” (esv)

INSECURITY – v. 9 “… he went to live … in a foreign land, living in tents …” (esv)

INFERTILITY – v. 11

Genesis 3.11-12 “‘Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?’  The man said, ‘The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.’” (esv)

v. 11 “… Sarah … received power … since she considered him faithful who had promised.” (esv)

ARE WE Embracing Conviction OR Excusing Compromise?

vv. 24-25 “… refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.” (esv)

v. 26 “He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.” (esv)

v. 27 “… Moses persevered as one who sees him who is invisible.” (csb)
