THE LOVE OF A CHRISTIAN’S LIFE …

IS ESTABLISHED BY A Living Marriage

v. 1 “… do you not know, brothers … that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives?” (esv)

v. 2 “… a married woman … if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage.” (esv)

v. 3 “… she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.” (esv)

v. 4 “Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law …” (esv)

Matthew 22.37–38 “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.’” (niv)

v. 5 “… while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.” (esv)
