- To know His intimate presence – By putting aside all claims to independence. (Psalm 27:4; Hebrews in 12:1-2a)
2. To know Him in His resurrection power
a).If I am going to seek to know Christ in sincere intimacy, I must also make myself vulnerable to be known BY Him.
b). My Lord Jesus will never give me His power merely for my comfort or convenience; He will not disperse His power merely for myself for He will not share His glory. (John 3:30; Philippians 2:6-7)
We must win the victory within before we will ever win the victory without. And that feels like death.
3. To know Him in His sufferings
a). In the literal, physical realm.
b). On at least two more levels:
i). To know Christ intimately, I must enter His sufferings for a a lost and dying world. (Romans 9:2-3)
ii).To know Christ intimately, I must enter the hurt of His bride, the church. (2 Corinthians 11:28)
4). To know Him in His death (Galatians 2:20; Mark 8:34)
