Fortify is an event for students featuring biblical preaching, live worship music, a weekend of fun. Fortify will include large group messages and small group discussion exploring how we make our faith stronger. Students will stay in host homes in Henderson County, and attend worship sessions at HFBC. For more information, visithendersonstudents.org or contact the church at 826-2332 or email@example.com.
Lord, Teach Us to Pray is an intergenerational study on prayer using the Lord’s Prayer as the framework for teaching about prayer. When Jesus responded to the disciples’ request to teach them to pray, He gave them the Lord’s Prayer as a model of prayer. In it, Jesus shows us what should be in the believer’s heart when he comes to his Heavenly Father in prayer. Lord, Teach Us to Pray is not a curriculum about the correct formula for prayer—it is about God’s children learning to fellowship with Him in prayer.
We will be gathering together as families on Wednesday evenings in the sanctuary to study the bible from 5:45-7:15 pm. Childcare will be provided for children 4 and under.

Never Too Late: Encouraging Faith in Your Adult Child
- For parents, grandparents, empty nesters, mentors, patriarchs, matriarchs and anyone who knows someone in this category
Like it or not, there are definite generational differences in the ways that faith has been passed down through families. Parents and grandparents from the last few generations grew up in a time when faith was not discussed as openly as it should have been. As a result, today’s parents did not learn how to discuss the most important issues with their children. This session will inspire you to connect with your adult child and your grandchildren by giving you practical ways to encourage faith in their hearts without feeling like you’re meddling or intruding.
