Servant Evangelism Ideas

Henderson, I Love You is an initiative of HFBC to intentionally accomplish the “Serve the Community” aspect of our mission statement.

We serve our community by meeting physical needs that often open leads to an open door to meet spiritual needs. In short, we want to share the love of Jesus Christ in practical, “real life” ways.  We like to say, “Good Deeds Lead to Goodwill that Leads to Good News!”

Henderson, I Love You takes place in our church on a large scale and on a small scale. Saturday March 24th marked the kickoff of Henderson, I Love You and we invited our entire church to join forces to serve the community together all over Henderson. Our projects for the kickoff included cleaning up city parks, preparing the PCMA ball fields for the season, and doing Spring clean-up in our community.

We are also asking each small group to participate in Henderson, I Love You by planning their own servant evangelism activities.

In order to help spread the word to our community about Henderson, I Love You, we have created a website, t-shirts, and communication cards. The website for those seeking to learn more is www.hendersoniloveyou.com. We also encourage everyone to buy and wear their T-shirts when serving.  T-shirts are available in the church office for $5. Communication cards will be given out to small groups and are available in the church office.
